NYC HOUSING

Supportive Housing

Odyssey House provides a growing number of safe, supportive housing options to meet the permanent and transitional housing needs of families and individuals who are participating in, or have completed, our treatment program.

We also provide permanent housing to formerly homeless families and individuals, including many with special needs or disabilities.

All housing programs offer counseling, referral, and resident advocacy and are designed to support the Odyssey House dedication to continuity of care and aftercare services.

As you prepare to complete our residential treatment program, a housing specialist can work with you to find a safe, affordable place to live.

ODYSSEY HOUSE SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAMS INCLUDE:

  • The Family Re-Entry Program provides transitional off-site housing in individual, furnished, two-bedroom apartments for parents and children in treatment, with 24-hour supervision and full access to Odyssey House program services, including intensive substance abuse education and counseling.
  • Odyssey House Haven provides 63 permanent housing units for homeless people with disabilities and includes aftercare services, support services, peer counseling/support groups, information, and referral services for community members.
  • Shelter Plus Care offers transitional housing for parents and children, as well as special needs populations.
  • Odyssey House Park Avenue is a 50-unit, single occupancy apartment building for men and women with special needs. The building provides a supportive, independent living environment for individuals who have overcome many life challenges, including mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, and homelessness.
  • Odyssey House Soundview Avenue provides permanent supportive housing in the Bronx for 56 single, low-income adults living with special needs. Soundview Avenue is Odyssey House’s first LEED-certified building.
